Roche is a world leader in molecular diagnostics. Roche Molecular Diagnostics division has developed over 20 test systems for in vitro diagnostics, approved in the EU. Many of these systems became etalons in pathogen detection and therapy monitoring – such as e.g. real-time PCR virology tests for COBAS AmpliPrep/COBAS TaqMan instrumental platform. This system allows to automate PCR technology in real time: isolation of nucleic acid, amplification, detection, computer analysis of results. These devices provide high productivity for such important molecular diagnostics tests as HIV-1, HCV in quantity format with high sensitivity.
