INVITRO, the largest private medical company in Russia, was founded by resuscitator Alexander Ostrovsky. In 1995, together with a few partners he founded a company called OMB – a distributor of imported medical equipment and materials for Russian clinics. One of the OMB divisions was dealing with laboratory tests for Moscow hospitals and eventually became the first in Russia private medical laboratory, which had a scope of diagnostics of 30 tests.
